The Francois Ferreira Academy has been providing quality, accredited training in Culinary Art and Hospitality for the last 14 years. The Academy has expanded its scope to include Skills Development Programmes in Hospitality and Tourism.  In the new purpose built “Master Chef” style kitchen, students can indulge in their passion for cooking, and where classes are held for the public who want to learn how to cook.  Wine and Spirit Appreciation as well as Food and Wine pairing workshops are also presented to those who have an interest in learning more about wines and spirits.

Chef Training

We present the City & Guilds Certificate and Diploma in Food Preparation and Cooking. This course runs over 36 months. Students are placed in the industry for mentorship during this time.

Certificate and Diploma

The Certificate and Diploma programmes are run concurrently. This course includes a Certificate in Culinary Art. The learner will have the option to do the Advanced Diploma as well.

Public Classes

A variety of cooking classes are offered for both adults and children aged between 8-13 years and 14-17 years. These classes are fun and informative and have proven to be very popular.

Our courses are accredited with CATHSSETA, City&Guilds and QCTO. We are recognised as a Training Provider by the South African Chefs Association and the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. We also offer short courses for restaurant and hotel staff.
